The Social Work Supervisee / Resident in Counseling is responsible for providing therapeutic services under the guidance of a licensed clinical supervisor. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering individual and group therapy to clients within the Behavioral Health Service Line. The position is designed for individuals seeking to complete supervised clinical hours required for licensure. Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial and ongoing client assessments to determine mental health needs and diagnoses.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and the clinical supervisor.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based practices.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Assist clients in accessing community resources and support services as needed.
- Participate in regular supervision sessions with a licensed clinician to review cases and receive feedback.
- Adhere to ethical guidelines and confidentiality standards.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide crisis intervention as required.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated care.
- Contribute to case discussions and team meetings.
- Participate in professional development activities and training to stay current with best practices.
- Perform administrative tasks related to client care as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in social work (MSW), Counseling (MA or MHC), or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Registration with the Board of Health Professions in Counseling or Social Work within 30 days of hire.
- Two years of experience in a mental health or behavioral health setting.
