Duties:
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Collect data on client progress and behavior to inform treatment decisions.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans.
- Provide direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
- Teach and reinforce appropriate social, communication, and daily living skills.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure treatment consistency.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a 40-hour RBT course is required; being Registered with the Board is preferred.
- Spanish-speaking candidates preferred
- A Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience working with individuals with ASD or related developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow directions and implement behavior plans accurately.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and maintain confidentiality.
Skills:
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
- Familiarity with data collection methods and procedures.
- Understanding of positive reinforcement strategies.
- Ability to effectively manage challenging behaviors using appropriate techniques.
- Experience as a teacher assistant, paraprofessional, or in a related educational/behavioral support role is preferred.
