A top-tier law firm is seeking an Employment Counseling Associate Attorney to join its San Francisco office. This position is ideal for attorneys with at least two years of experience advising employers on transactional employment matters and drafting essential workplace documentation.
The San Francisco office of this highly prestigious, multi-national firm has experienced phenomenal growth in recent years and provides a full spectrum of legal services in a number of areas, including: commercial litigation, antitrust, intellectual property, health care, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, project finance, and environmental. The firm’s attorneys are typically very well-rounded and the firm makes a conscious effort to hire attorneys that “fit in.” Base compensation is excellent and bonuses are both large and easily attainable.

Work with a nationally recognized Labor & Employment team on high-level counseling assignments, including M&A support, independent contractor issues, and employment agreement negotiations. Key Responsibilities:
• Advise employers on labor and employment issues related to mergers, acquisitions, and corporate transactions
• Provide strategic guidance on the employment lifecycle, including hiring, compensation, classification, and separation
• Draft offer letters, employment agreements, separation agreements, non-compete clauses, and contractor documentation
• Support due diligence and regulatory compliance in employment-related transactional matters

Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in employment law, with a focus on compliance and counseling
• Strong background in employment issues related to corporate transactions
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Admission to the California Bar required
• Exceptional writing, communication, and problem-solving skills
