POSITION: Licensed Psychologist

The position(s): True Life is looking for an experienced and compassionate licensed psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team. An ideal candidate has significant experience treating mental health at various levels of care, such a Residential, PHP and/or IOP. This role will primarily be performing as well as supervising individual, group and couple's/family therapy, in addition to oversight of diagnostic assessments and batteries for psychology associates and postdocs. Trauma-informed therapists are encouraged to apply. Applicants must have experience in the successful treatment of complex presentations of Depressive Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, and Stress and Trauma-Related Disorders.

Who we are: We serve the community at the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) level of care, treating high acuity, primary mental health disorders. Our clinic offers a fully integrated and collaborative approach to mental healthcare in San Diego that includes, but is not limited to: psychiatry, psychotherapy, biofeedback, acupuncture, massage, mindfulness, neuromuscular adaptation, nutrition, and movement practices such as yoga and qi gong. Who you are: A multi-disciplined practitioner with advanced training and a strong interest in providing multiple modalities and skill sets to support patients holistically. You possess a grounded and compassionate bedside manner, treating from a heart-centered, patient-centered presence. You are dedicated to continuous learning, sharing your knowledge and expertise collaboratively, and are comfortable receiving feedback. You excel in interdisciplinary coordination and are skilled in the oversight of therapeutic programs and services, ensuring their fidelity and efficacy. You thrive in a diversified clinical schedule that may include individual therapy, group therapy, supervision, and diagnostic testing and program oversight.

What applicants must bring:

  • Licensed Psychologist with at least 3 years experience working in a mental health setting at the residential and/or IOP/PHP level
  • Diagnostic Testing
  • Clinical Supervisory experience
  • Experience providing individual and group therapy based in various therapeutic modalities
  • Trauma-informed providers are encouraged to apply. Theoretical Orientations of: Psychodynamic & Attachment Theories, CBT and DBT, Motivational Interviewing and Family Systems Theory are all considered strengths.

Ideal candidate will have:

  • Biofeedback experience is considered a plus
