Location: Brockton, MA

Job Type: Part-time

Schedule: 28hrs - Sun 9a-5p, Wed 4p-10p, Thu 4p-10p, Fri 3p-11p

Pay: $20 - $23 (Pay differentials will be applied for MAP and/or CNA certifications, and for Weekend shifts)

Job Summary

As a Residential Counselor, you will support individuals with developmental and/or physical disabilities in a home setting. Help them build independence, develop life skills, and engage meaningfully with their community.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with personal care (bathing, grooming, mobility, hygiene).
  • Support daily living tasks (cooking, cleaning, shopping, money management).
  • Encourage independence and self-advocacy.
  • Facilitate community involvement and relationships.
  • Implement Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and behavioral supports.
  • Administer medications per MAP guidelines.
  • Provide transportation to appointments, programs, and social activities.
  • Communicate using tools suited to individual needs (email, tablets, letter boards).

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • CNA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift 25–75 lbs and perform physical tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office).
