About the Role

The Community Outreach Specialist will serve as the primary connector between i3 Strategy Partners, Wellness WoRx, local community organizations, and healthcare stakeholders across Houston. This role is responsible for building trusted relationships with community-based organizations (CBOs), local nonprofits, faith-based groups, healthcare providers, and hospital personnel to support a wide range of initiatives — from health education to resource distribution and program implementation.

Beyond community engagement, this role requires the ability to communicate effectively with physicians, hospital staff, and other medical professionals to ensure alignment between community needs and client objectives. The ideal candidate will not only excel at outreach but will also understand the consulting side of our work — translating community insights into actionable feedback that supports i3’s strategies and Wellness WoRx’s mission.

Key Responsibilities

Community & Provider Engagement

• Build and maintain relationships with CBOs, nonprofit leaders, faith-based organizations, and local influencers.
• Establish partnerships with medical offices, clinics, and hospital staff to coordinate community-focused initiatives.
• Represent both i3 Strategy Partners and Wellness WoRx at community meetings, events, and forums.

Networking & Event Coordination

• Organize and facilitate community events, educational sessions, and resource distribution efforts.
• Bring together diverse groups — from providers to community leaders — to support client projects and outreach campaigns.
• Serve as the local face of i3 and Wellness WoRx at health fairs, partnership meetings, and community forums.

Insights Gathering & Client Alignment

• Capture on-the-ground insights about community needs, barriers, and opportunities.
• Provide feedback to i3’s consulting teams to ensure strategies reflect real community input.
• Align community engagement efforts with broader client and project goals.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in community engagement, provider relations, or healthcare outreach (pharmaceutical experience is a plus but not required).
• Strong network or familiarity with Houston’s healthcare and community landscape.
• Ability to communicate with both community members and medical professionals with equal ease.
• Experience coordinating events, partnerships, or grassroots initiatives.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic reporting tools.
• Based in Houston with reliable transportation for frequent local travel.
