Job Description: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The BCBA will support clients and their families by providing applied behavior analysis services including assessment, treatment planning, behavior acquisition and reduction procedures, and adaptive life skills. The BCBA will facilitate communication between all team members, manage client data, and ensure all team members have the necessary support, training, and materials to assist the client in reaching their full potential.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Complete individualized assessments, treatment plans, behavior acquisition and reduction procedure for clients on caseload
  • Ensure recommended client treatment utilization rate align with recommended dosage
  • Assist in the development and facilitation of applied behavior analysis related trainings for behavior team staff
  • Maintain ongoing communication with parents, caregivers, and outside providers to ensure effective coordination of care
  • Create ongoing data collection system to establish baseline and programmatic efficacy for all consumers, and to analyze data on a frequent and ongoing basis to guide programming
  • Provide positive and constructive feedback to staff regarding clinical and professional skills on a regular basis
  • Keep current with ABA literature, new research findings, and resources
  • Complete all required trainings and CUEs to maintain BCBA certification ND licensure
  • Complete session notes within 24 hours of each session
  • Engage in behavior compliant with the BACB Ethics Code
  • Complete and document overlaps to ensure fidelity of treatment · Member of the Behavior Leadership Team
  • Assist tracking due dates and completion of RBTs initial and annual competency assessment and submission
  • Provide RBTs on team with required supervision hours
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Ability to effectively deliver and accept constructive feedback to staff regarding job performance.
  • Ability to train staff to fluency on various protocols and treatment techniques using verbal and written explanation, modeling, guided practice, and review of independent performance.
  • Effective time management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks at one time.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, co-workers, supervisors, and community members.
  • Ability to adhere to organizational policies and procedures and abide by code of ethics as indicated by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
  • Commitment to maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA laws.
  • Commitment to ongoing training and development as it relates to clinical skills, professional development, ethics, and technology, and training in order to perform job responsibilities to required standard.
  • Ability to interpret and implement clinical protocols and written.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance with regard to clothing, grooming, hair, and make-up.

BASIC & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to lift and carry clients with adaptive equipment.
  • Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be willing and able to restrain/hold/transport and utilize quick body movements as indicated in the Behavior Intervention Plan in the course of working with children with challenging behavior.
  • Must have manual dexterity to perform specific computer and electronic device functions for data collection.
  • Must be physically present at the assigned job location, which may include home, school, and community placements.
  • Must be able to receive detailed information through oral communication.
  • Must have visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication through computer, electronic devices, and paper means.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Required: Board Certified and ND Licensed Behavior Analyst

EDUCATION:

  • Required: Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or related field

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

  • Employment Supervisor: Executive Director
  • Supervisory Reports: Registered Behavior Technicians

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Position is full-time
