Growing non-public school in Chatsworth, CA is seeking a fulltime BCBA to work with students facing a wide variety of developmental challenges. The behaviorist is responsible for developing and implementing behavior intervention plans and strategies to support the students. The primary goal of this role is to promote positive behavior, social skills, and emotional well-being among students, thereby creating a conducive learning environment. The BCBA will collaborate closely with teachers and other service providers. - Experience working with diverse populations and a range of mental health concerns
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish rapport with students
- Proficiency in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting behavioral data to inform intervention decisions.
- A deep understanding of and empathy for the challenges faced by students with special needs and their families.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive support for students.
- Adherence to professional and ethical standards in behavior analysis and education.
- Provide supervision and support to paraprofessionals and RBTs.
- Participate in students' IEPs, develop goals and individualized behavior intervention plans.
- Develop individualized treatment plans for students.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care for students.
- Conduct ongoing evaluations of student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and documentation.
Requirements
- Current/ valid BCBA certification
- Master's degree in Applied Behavioral Analysis
- 2+ years of experience in a clinical setting
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- TB Screening and DOJ Livescan
