Job Summary
The Intake Coordinator plays a crucial role in the healthcare setting by managing the initial patient intake process. This position involves gathering essential information from patients, verifying insurance details, and ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete. The Intake Coordinator acts as a liaison between patients and medical staff, contributing to a smooth and efficient workflow within the clinic or hospital environment.
Duties
- Conduct initial patient assessments to gather necessary information for intake.
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, including medical history and referral information.
- Utilize medical office software, such as Igea, for data entry and management.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate a seamless transition from intake to treatment.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns promptly.
Skills
- Most be bilingual ( English and Spanish)
- Strong 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry.
- Experience in a home health or clinic setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of documentation review practices to ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
