Medical Director – Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Full-Time | Columbus Behavioral Center | Columbus, Indiana (Near Indianapolis) Join a Leading Residential Behavioral Health Facility Dedicated to Youth Care Columbus Behavioral Center for Children and Adolescents is a 56-bed, private residential behavioral health facility located in Columbus, Indiana—just 45 minutes south of Indianapolis. Set on 6.5 fully-fenced acres, our secure and therapeutic environment is designed to support the mental health needs of male and female youth ages 8–18. We are currently seeking a full-time Medical Director to lead our child and adolescent psychiatry services. This is a rewarding opportunity for a compassionate, experienced psychiatrist to make a lasting impact in a supportive, multidisciplinary care environment. Position Highlights: Role: Medical Director, Child and Adolescent Residential Treatment Program Location: On-site at Columbus Behavioral Center, Columbus, Indiana Schedule: Full-time; Employed or Independent Contractor Treatment Settings: Residential and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) Programs Responsibilities Include: Leadership and oversight of psychiatric treatment services Supervision of staff PMHNPs Participation in clinical call rotation Collaboration with clinical and administrative teams Ensure compliance with UHS policies and healthcare regulations Contribute to the strategic planning and program development Qualifications: Active Indiana medical license or eligibility to obtain MD or DO from an accredited medical school Board Certified in Psychiatry (Child & Adolescent Psychiatry preferred) 3–5 years of clinical psychiatric experience required Leadership experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting preferred Ability to supervise Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills Compensation & Benefits: Competitive leadership salary with bonus potential Full malpractice insurance coverage Generous paid time off (PTO) 401(k) with employer match Continuing Medical Education (CME) allowance Health, dental, vision, and disability insurance Relocation assistance Sign-on and retention bonuses Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) About Columbus Behavioral Center for Children and Adolescents At Columbus Behavioral Center, we provide evidence-based residential treatment for youth ages 8 to 18 facing serious behavioral health challenges, substance use disorders, and frequent psychiatric hospitalizations.
