About Job

The Center-Level Social Worker (CLSW) is a school-based support staff role focused on improving students’ social, emotional, behavioral, and academic outcomes. The CLSW collaborates with educators, students, families, and community partners to provide individualized support services and ensure students’ well-being and success in school.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work.
  • A license to practice Social Work.
  • Possess professionalism and discretion/confidentiality.
  • Compassion and empathy for students.
  • The ability to communicate effectively both written and orally.
  • The ability to foster healthy and productive relationships with students and staff.
  • Prior job experience, preferred.
  • Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Executive Director may find appropriate.

Center Director

195 days with single insurance benefits. Holiday and sick days included. This position will be re-evaluated at the end of the school year per grant funding.

These positions will be split between two of our learning center locations. The team hired for these positions will work closely with two center locations/center directors to build the weekly schedule. Staff will be required to work from our center locations on site 100% of the time.

:

  • Work with the 504 Coordinator to complete necessary paperwork, schedule appointments and attain signatures for 504s and accompanying documents.
  • Maintain spreadsheets and accountability systems to ensure timeliness.
  • Work with the College/Career Coordinator to communicate with students to identify post graduation plans.
  • Work with the College/Career Coordinator to relay information and eligibility regarding resources that are available to students to assist with post grad learning.
  • Participate in educational planning by analyzing behavior and developing interventions to eliminate barriers that may impact a student’s adjustment to online learning.
  • Administer Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) with students, as needed.
  • Establish relationships and provide individual and small group counseling to students, as needed, to assist them in achieving academic success.
  • Provide staff and students with community resources to meet the needs of students.
  • Assist centers in state testing and count day activities, as needed.
  • Possess knowledge of and seek professional development of best practice instructional and intervention strategies for social and emotional needs.
  • Educate students, staff, and families about best practice approaches to meeting individual student social and emotional needs.
  • Schedule and attend school meetings such as 504 meetings or other meetings related to successfully supporting students.
  • Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws, district policies and school regulations.
  • Implement Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS).
  • Work with teammates and agencies to assist with truancy and attendance related issues.
  • Plan and execute Family Engagement Days at the center once a month.
  • Obtain information for parents, as requested. Return phone calls and answer emails promptly.
  • Work with at-risk students including, but not limited to, children living in impoverished homes, students who have been or are at risk of being neglected and abused, students and families facing homelessness, or students who have emotional, behavioral, or mental delays.
  • Work as a liaison for students and their families to access community resources, when needed.
  • Remain current with professional development opportunities and trends.
  • All other duties as assigned.
