Overview
Join our dynamic FFT Team as an Addiction Counselor supporting families on the path to healing and recovery. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Addiction Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of addiction treatment and recovery processes, providing support and guidance to individuals struggling with substance use disorders. This role is essential in helping clients achieve their recovery goals through effective counseling and therapeutic interventions. Make a lasting impact by providing trauma-informed care and evidenced based support to youth and families.
Duties
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address addiction issues.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations to assess clients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Implement applied behavior analysis techniques to promote positive behavioral changes.
- Provide education on addiction medicine and recovery strategies to clients and their families.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in various settings, including hospitals and community care environments, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, utilizing behavior management strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.
Experience
- A background in addiction counseling or clinical counseling is preferred.
- Experience with individual group counseling techniques is essential.
- Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation processes related to substance use disorders is beneficial.
- Knowledge of home community care practices and the ability to work within hospital settings is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds are crucial for success in this role.
- Two years minimum experience working with adolescents and families in a community based setting.

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
