and community policing policies of the department. Sworn law enforcement officers perform the traditional Police Officer

responsibilities in a unique, family-friendly traveling environment. Enforce the policies of and interact with Homeland Security and

We are hiring POPS Certified Police Officers with a minimum of one year as a sworn officer. Certified Police Officers from another

state who have served at least one year as a sworn officer must contact KLEC to inquire about reciprocity. Tattoos and body

piercings are permitted in accordance with the department policy.

Schedule: 12 hour shifts following the Philadelphia Model, that would include rotating day and night shifts. Common Schedules include using the Philadelphia model: 3 days on, 4 days off or 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days off.  The Philadelphia 12-hour schedule allows staff to have every other weekend off and work only two days every other week.
