The Support Specialist plays a crucial role in providing assistance and guidance to individuals facing various challenges related to mental health, addiction, and behavioral issues. This position involves working closely with clients to assess their needs, develop personalized support plans, and facilitate access to necessary resources. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in social work or related fields, demonstrating empathy and effective communication skills while fostering a supportive environment for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments to identify client needs and develop tailored support plans.
  • Provide crisis intervention and management services to individuals in distress.
  • Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage positive behavior changes.
  • Offer mentoring and guidance to clients navigating their recovery journey.
  • Collaborate with other professionals in the behavioral health field to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and progress within established systems.
  • Facilitate access to community resources, including addiction counseling and mental health services.
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in crisis management and intervention.
