A school psychologist position is available for the upcoming school year in Arlington, VA, supporting high school students. This contract role offers the opportunity to apply psychological principles and techniques to help students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual and group psychological assessments to identify student needs and develop appropriate interventions
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to create supportive learning environments
  • Develop and implement behavior management plans tailored to students needs
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
  • Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
  • Experience working with high school-aged students preferred

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of federal and state educational laws related to special education services
