Job Description
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Purpose Statement
The main responsibility of a clinical social worker is to screen medical records, conduct interviews and assessments, set treatment goals, and arrange for expediting and coordinating services. Provide diagnostic and comprehensive clinical assessments an intensive clinical and functional face to face evaluation of a client’s mental health, developmental disability, or substance abuse condition that results in the development of a diagnostic or clinical assessment report with a recommendation regarding whether the client meets target population criteria for services. It also evaluates the recipient’s level of readiness and motivation to engage in treatment.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
· To provide individual face to face therapy based on mental health best practice.
· To provide assessment services to potential and current Western North Carolina clients including the face to face interview.
· To conduct various Medicaid, or State funded approved and Medicaid sanctioned forms of mental health evaluation for the purpose of diagnosis and service recommendation.
· To complete all supporting documentation required for the Diagnostic Assessment process and submit said documentation in conjunction with DHHS policy and procedures for the service.
· Planning, managing, and providing social services.
· Diagnosing and providing treatment to individuals with mental disorders, as well as various behavioral and emotional disturbances.
· Maintaining liaison with area resources and coordinating social service activities.
· Administering and supervising social service programs, providing assistance in developing social service programs and resources.
· Providing consultation on various social aspects of procedures, policies, and services to clinic clients.
· Recognizing the role of client in the treatment planning.
· Participating in general department meetings, treatment team, and case supervision meetings.
· Complying with NC Brookhaven Behavioral Health policies
· Understanding and agreeing to support the NC Brookhaven Behavioral Health Mission Statement.
· To develop the initial treatment plan based on the information obtained through the assessment interview.
· To complete billing forms on each client after each Diagnostic Assessment and submit for billing weekly.
· To present the diagnostic assessment to the Clinical Director for review and clinical staffing.
· To report any and all emergencies, concerns and problems to the Clinical Director and/or Medical Director.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Be available for the time required for the assessment interview as well as the documentation.
- Document direct service delivery and submit said documentation according to Medicaid and CCHS standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Master’s degree in a mental health field (e.g.: Social Work, Psychology, Counseling)
- Full Licensure in the state of North Carolina
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $53,955.09 - $62,000.00 per year
