A school-based clinical social worker is needed to provide critical mental health and social-emotional support for elementary-aged students (K-8) during a leave of absence in San Bernardino, CA. This contract role will begin on 7/21/25 and run through 9/26/25, with a strong possibility of extension. The position offers 20-30 hours per week across five days, serving a caseload of 45-60 students.

Primary responsibilities include delivering individual and group counseling, supporting social-emotional learning (SEL) initiatives, and supervising interns who assist with group sessions and SEL lessons. The social worker will play a pivotal role in fostering a supportive environment for students while mentoring developing professionals.

Key qualifications and experience:

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) credential required
  • Experience working in school settings or with children in K-8 age range preferred
  • Ability to supervise and collaborate with interns in clinical and educational activities
  • Strong assessment, counseling, and case management skills tailored to elementary school populations
