Position Summary: Oversees program managers, registered behavior technicians and provides clinical advisement companywide. In addition, the Consultant creates functional behavior assessment and behavior interventions for consumers with maladaptive behaviors.
Qualifications:
· Must have Master's degree in applied behavior analysis or related field
· Must be a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
· Must have 5 years of clinical experience working with children and adults with developmental disabilities.
· Must have 3 years of management experience in the field.
· Must remain in good standing with Community Care Licensing and the associated Regional Centers.
Direct Duties:
- Conducts functional behavior assessments
- Writes behavior support plans and programs for residential homes and crisis homes
- Corrects and reviews behavior support plans
· Review client notes by reading staff notes, providing feedback to staff, inputting notes during visits, and reviewing data for reporting purposes.
· Attend department clinical meetings as well as all meetings for adult residential facility residents
· Visit adult residential facilities to observe the clients’ behaviors, check the environment to identify if anything needs to be modified, talk with staff and clients, and observe the clients’ performance during activities
- Conducts weekly and monthly audits on behavior data and skill goals
- Provides and oversees monthly staff training in reference to applied behavior analysis
- Conduct new hire orientation training as well as in-service training for staff
- Provides staff supervision
- Provide RBT training and supervision
- Collaborates with other clinical professional team members internally and externally
- Assist administrators in creating activity materials that decrease interfering behaviors
- Meet with Administrators to discuss behavior issues and plans for behavior modification
- Performs other related duties and assignments as required by the supervisor
- Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or eligibility for certification.
- Experience working with children with developmental disabilities, particularly autism.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
- Familiarity with special education laws and regulations.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, families, and other professionals.
- Ability to collect and analyze data to inform treatment decisions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt interventions as needed.

Pay: $96,000.00 - $104,000.00 per year
