Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a licensed Remote School Psychologist to support students and school teams across New Mexico. This virtual role involves conducting comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations, participating in multidisciplinary teams, and providing consultation and mental health support through a telepractice model.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct virtual psychoeducational assessments for K12 students using approved digital tools
Write clear, comprehensive reports that meet New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) and IDEA requirements
Participate in remote IEP meetings, eligibility determinations, and student support planning
Collaborate with educators, families, and administrators to recommend evidence-based interventions
Provide virtual counseling or social-emotional support when appropriate
Assist school teams with the development of Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
Maintain documentation, case notes, and confidentiality in accordance with state and federal regulations
Qualifications:
Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
Valid New Mexico PED School Psychologist License (Level 1 or above), or eligibility to obtain
Experience with virtual assessment platforms (e.g., Q-global, Q-interactive, etc.)
Knowledge of New Mexico state special education policies and timelines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable working independently in a remote setting
Prior telepractice experience preferred but not required
Reliable internet connection and secure, private workspace
