A K-12 school district in Geneva, IL is seeking a dedicated social worker to provide support during the 2025-2026 school year. This is a part-time, 0.5 FTE contract position based at one of the elementary schools within the district. The role requires a candidate to work onsite and engage directly with students and staff to address social, emotional, and behavioral needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to students to support mental health and well-being.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop intervention plans.
  • Conduct assessments and connect families with community resources as needed.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to address student needs effectively.
  • Assist in crisis intervention and support for students facing challenging situations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as a social worker in the state.
  • Experience working within a K-12 school setting preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with students, staff, and families.
  • Ability to work effectively in an onsite role and engage with the school community.
