A K-12 school in Lowell, MA is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist for a school year contract. This role involves providing comprehensive psychological services to support students academic, social, and emotional development within the school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psycho-educational assessments and interpret results to identify student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administration to develop and implement intervention strategies
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention as needed
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to developing appropriate student goals
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification or license applicable to Massachusetts
- Experience conducting assessments and providing support within a K-12 school setting
- Strong knowledge of special education laws and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
