Position Description

Advertised Job Summary
Transfer Enrollment Counselor (Stu Srvcs Prog Coord I), Minimum Salary: $43,900 per year, USCA Enrollment Management
Recruit and enroll transfer and graduate students to USC Aiken via exemplary customer service, travel, and utilization of USC Aiken Admissions’ CRM territory management system. Counsel prospective students/parents and build strong relationships with counselors at feeder institutions. Participate in open house and all other recruitment functions of the Admissions Office and Transfer Center. Contributes as part of a results driven team of enrollment management officers. Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a job related field and no prior work experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience. Preferred: Experience in admissions, enrollment, or other student-centered university functions; strong communication, problem solving, and customer service skills; strong public presentation skills, involvement/work with student organizations, management of volunteer-based organizations; and experience with higher education technology (CRM and/or student information). Preferred Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include experience in admissions, enrollment, or other student-centered university functions; strong communication, problem solving, and customer service skills; strong public presentation skills, involvement/work with student organizations, management of volunteer-based organizations; and experience with higher education technology (CRM and/or student information).

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary. Knowledge of secondary and technical/community colleges, along with understanding of college attendance trends and desire to continue professional development. Working knowledge of modern constituent relationship management software packages. Working knowledge of various Microsoft Office suite software (Word, Outlook, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher), ability to work with a diverse group of individuals, and ability to balance priorities necessary. Position requires travel as well as some night and weekend work.
