IMI Agency specializes in Building Better Beverage Business™ for our Hospitality Clients through cutting-edge marketing programs and promotions, interactive food & beverage merchandising and operations tools, staff training, and recognition/reward programs for all channels in the Hospitality industry. IMI programs create brand value and opportunities with consumers while driving food and beverage sales and profits for our Hospitality Operator clients.
What we are looking for:
We have an opening for a driven, well-organized, forward-thinking, and creative Beverage Director of Development to join our leading hospitality management Client’s team. This person will analyze the beverage program, gaining a full understanding of all the program components to help remediation efforts at the property level. This person will drive creative, yet practical solutions to implement and drive beverage education, training, and compliance across the client's brands. This person will consult with beverage program leads for the client’s Select Service to Full-Service properties, including but not limited to curation of market-specific drink ideation, bar inventory, product review, costing analysis and adjustments, hosting in-person and virtual wait-staff-trainings, and more. This person will also oversee and help develop, organize, and execute creative know-how materials, manage internal and external communication for training and schedules, maintain documentation, and establish a follow-up cadence for all properties visited. This person will develop a beverage database while assisting with various beverage projects as needed.

Responsibilities:
- Consult with the client beverage team on the corporate beverage program.
- Perform Bar Remediation/Improvement for assigned locations, including performing a pre-visit review and preparation process.
- On-site observation and documenting changes and differences to execute effective corrections and improvements while on-site.
- Perform site visit follow-up procedures, documenting corrections and changes (i.e., 1 week, 30-60-90-day follow-up).
- Collaborate with property staff on bar needs and program compliance, including but not limited to GM, AGM, Beverage Leads, Taskforce, Bar, and wait-staff
- Collaborating with the property Taskforce to ensure beverage compliance, menu engineering, and training bar staff
- Create Bar Education platforms ranging from Select Service to Full Service.
- Set up, Present, Train, and educate bar and waitstaff via in-person and virtual training. Providing key takeaway material to each attendee.
- Report project results and management risk – escalating issues as needed based on the project plans.
- Perform a quarterly review of remediation efforts, comparing historical and current performance.
- Develop and implement corporate cocktail database(s).
- Collaborate with the team to develop new bar and beverage programs for both existing and new build properties.
- Expand existing uniformity efforts by assisting with the creation of a program-specific formal platform buildout.
- Develop working conceptual bar and beverage programs as needed for new owner concept overviews.
- Streamline projects to maximize deliverable outputs.
- Prioritize tasks and assignments, ensuring all responsibilities are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assist in planning large-scale meetings and conferences as needed.
- Accurately track and report beverage developments and implementations. 50%+ Travel required
Education & Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent working experience.
- Experience in large-scale Hospitality or Supply Chain Beverage Presentations and Trainings.
- Extensive knowledge of the alcoholic beverage industry, related products, and the three-tiered system.
- Must have a “Bar / Beverage Business” financial and inventory acumen.
- Demonstrated creative experience with implementing beverage promotions across multiple units (locations) and/or outlets.
- Proven high-level professional mixology, craft cocktail creation, and beverage operations experience.
- High Level of experience in analyzing data, instructing program or project changes based on sales, and creating program metrics to measure results.
- Comfort in making complex business decisions.
- Successful track record of complete high-level Project Management duties.
- Maintained budgets and records of expenditures; reported frequently.
- Experience communicating effectively with all levels of management and staff, including high-level stakeholders and waiting staff.
- Speaks and writes clearly and concisely.
- Able to work with different management styles as needed.
- Takes initiative and is a part of the solution to issues and problems that arise.
- The ability to multi-task, handling several projects simultaneously.
- High-energy interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor with a successful supervisory and/or employee management track record.
- High proficiency in all Microsoft Office Applications (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Experience with analyzing data, instituting program or project changes based on sales, and creating program metrics to measure results.
- Ability to prioritize work assignments and work under minimal direction. Hospitable, with a service-prone, client-first mentality.
- Follow-up and follow-through must be your mantra!
- SharePoint Experience and SharePoint buildout knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to travel as needed.
