Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Counselor to join our Palmdale team. The Counselor will provide support and guidance to individuals dealing with various challenges, offering counseling services to help them navigate through difficult situations.

Duties:

- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for clients
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions
- Implement behavioral therapy techniques
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records
- Collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Offer support and guidance to families of clients
- Utilize case management skills to coordinate services for clients

Qualifications:

- BA in psychology, Social Work, or related field
- Experience in child and family counseling
- Knowledge of special education practices
- Familiarity with working with individuals on the autism spectrum
- Proficiency in conflict management and resolution
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality requirements
- Ability to provide home and community care services (minimum of 1 year experience in home care setting with families.
- Strong background in social work practices
- Experience with medical records management
