About Job

Discover Hope is looking for a Full Time highly motivated and dedicated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in the Fremont/Hayward area to provide oversight and supervision of Applied Behavior Analytic (ABA) services to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in home and/or community-based settings. Current openings:
Full-time salary position requiring flexible availability Mon-Fri 8am-8pm and occasional Sat 9am-3pm (every 5-6 weeks) in Alameda County (between Fremont and San Leandro) with the ability to work remotely.

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Conducts behavioral assessments, which includes home, community, and school observations,
  • Develops assessment report including treatment goals and recommendations for intervention,
  • Conducts debrief meetings with new clients/families to review treatment goals, therapy implementation, and schedule needs,
  • Monitors individualized behavior programs in child's home and community settings,
  • Provides clients with direct (on-site and telehealth) supervision,
  • Reviews and analyzes data, provides recommendations, observes program implementation, and provides ongoing caregiver education,
  • Completes indirect (off-site) work as needed, including reviewing reports, approving new goals, etc.,
  • Attend staff and/or consult meetings as requested,
  • Collaborates proactively with other service providers (e.g., SLP, OT, teacher, etc.)
  • Communicate effectively with all team members,
  • Lift up to 50 pounds,
  • Have reliable transportation and travel to multiple work sites,
  • Provide proof of valid driver license and current auto insurance,
  • Pass background/fingerprint clearance through DOJ and FBI,
  • Provide proof of negative TB, and the following vaccinations: Heb B (can be declined), Tdap (can be declined), MMR and Varicella,
  • Complete CPR training (provided by the company)

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in behavior analysis, psychology, or education,
  • Professional certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA),
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience with children with autism spectrum disorders and/or other related developmental disabilities,
  • Demonstrates ability to supervise and train others effectively,
  • Demonstrates knowledge of NET, DTT, PRT, PECS, and other ABA methodologies and strategies,
  • Demonstrate good judgment, decision-making, and communication skills
  • Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality
  • Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, bilingual is a plus
