School Psychologist – Toms River, NJ

Hourly Compensation: Up to $65/hr | Full-Time | All Grade Levels

Connected Health Care is seeking a highly motivated School Psychologist to work in a well-established school district in Toms River, NJ . This position provides a rewarding opportunity to support students' emotional well-being, learning development, and overall mental health in a collaborative educational setting.

Job Responsibilities:
Conduct cognitive, emotional, and behavioral assessments to identify students' academic and mental health needs.

Develop individualized intervention strategies to support students with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and emotional disturbances.

Provide counseling services to students experiencing anxiety, stress, or social difficulties.

Assist in crisis management and de-escalation strategies to ensure student safety.

Work closely with teachers, parents, and school counselors to create effective learning plans and behavioral interventions .

Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with special education teams to advocate for student needs.

Train school staff on mental health awareness, conflict resolution, and classroom behavior strategies .

Support social-emotional learning (SEL) initiatives to foster a positive school environment.

Qualifications & Requirements:
New Jersey School Psychologist Certification required.

Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology .

Experience conducting psychological assessments and interventions in a school setting.

Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and students to support mental health.

Strong understanding of IEP development, behavior intervention plans (BIPs), and crisis response .
