The Behavior Management Assistant (BMA) provides the day-to-day monitoring of the quiet rooms for the school of the Mill Pond Campus. S/he is will work with the school Principal to ensure behavioral programming for students is implemented.
The Mill Pond Schools, with locations in Springfield and the Berkshires, serve students—kindergarten through age 22—who have social-emotional and/or behavioral challenges, a learning disability, or who may have a diagnosis of high-functioning Autism. We are committed to serving the whole child, including the child’s family. Our goal is to assist students in developing the skills necessary to successfully return to a less-restrictive environment, and, ultimately, to their previous school setting.
Schedule
Monday shift, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Tuesday - Friday shifts, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Qualification:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with adolescents with emotional & behavioral special needs.
- Experience with children with emotional & behavioral special needs.
- Good organizational skills
- Good communication skills
- Current and valid driver’s license.
