Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Clinical Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide individual, family, and group counseling, conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and support recovery goals for clients facing substance use challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive substance use assessments and screenings
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs and goals
- Provide therapeutic interventions using evidence-based modalities (e.g., CBT, MI)
- Facilitate group counseling sessions and psychoeducational groups
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including other clinical staff, peer support specialist, MAT provider, and/or referral agencies
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with state and agency regulations
- Participate in regular supervision and continuing education opportunities
- Support crisis intervention and safety planning when necessary
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
- Licensure or license-eligible in SC
- Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders and/or co-occurring mental health conditions
- Knowledge of harm reduction, recovery models, and trauma-informed care
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $42,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
