Applications forPart-Time Counselor pools are continually accepted (unless otherwise specified) by the District. They will be added to the application pool for review by hiring authorities on an as-needed basis. Should you be invited for an interview, you will be contacted by a District representative.
Southwestern College is looking to hire Part-Time Counselors with a minimum of one year community college counseling experience to provide academic, career, and transfer counseling services. Ideal candidates have prior experience working with a diverse student population such as international students, men of color, learning communities, first generation students, students who cross international border, immigrant community and low-income populations.
Service modality is face-to-face.
Qualifications
Master's in counseling, rehabilitation counseling, clinical psychology, counseling psychology, guidance counseling, educational counseling, social work, career development, marriage and family therapy or marriage, family and child counseling
OR
the equivalent.
NOTE: A bachelor's degree in one of the listed degrees and a license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) is an alternative qualification for this discipline.
Additional assessment is required for applicants with foreign degrees from colleges or universities outside of the United States. Applicants must have their coursework evaluated by a professional association that is a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services () and must submit a copy of the evaluation with the application.
