About Job

An outpatient federally qualified health center is seeking a Psychiatrist for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located ~30 minutes East of Atlanta, Georgia.
This full-time position follows a MondayFriday, 8:00 AM5:00 PM schedule and involves seeing 2022 patients per day using an "any 15" schedule template. The provider will work with all age groups, primarily adults with some child and adolescent patients. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments, prescribing and managing psychotropic medications with ongoing monitoring, and completing initial evaluations and follow-ups for medication management. The role also involves reviewing and approving clinical documentation such as progress notes, medical orders, and non-psychiatric prescriptions. Regular collaboration with primary care providers, the Medical Director, and the Behavioral Health Director is essential to support integrated care.
