What We’re Looking For
High School Diploma or GED required., bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum one year of relevant work experience (Inside or technical sales preferred). One year experience with QuickBooks Desktop or other CRM.
Salary Range Starting at $50,000 (based on knowledge, skills and abilities).
Duties and Responsibilities
Provides day-to-day support of customer accounts and serves as a primary point of contact between the customer and the company. The Technical Sales and Service Coordinator provides customer support, technical support, planning and optimization for the accounts, and develops relationships with the customers. Takes incoming calls from customers, determines which product or service fits the application, and quotes the customer. Follows up with customers after quoting to obtain feedback, answer questions, and obtain purchase orders.
- Develop and demonstrate a thorough understanding of products and solutions.
- Review and analyze customer requirements to determine which product will be the best fit.
- Create customer proposals in compliance with company standards and contract language.
- Prepare configurations, equipment lists, clarifications and exceptions in response to customer requests for use by other departments such as engineering, sales, estimating, manufacturing, etc.
- Act as the customer contact regarding quotations, technical information, pricing, scheduling and shipping.
- Coordinate expediting activities with other departments to assure accuracy in pricing, delivery, invoicing, etc.
- Enter orders into the system for customers.
- Make pricing decisions based on previous standards regularly.
- Interact effectively with all levels of employees within the company, as well as suppliers, customers and peers.
- Comply with policies, procedures, standards and rules of the company.
- Follow quality assurance policies and other work instructions.
- Assist with special projects and other tasks assigned by the General Manager or Sales Manager.
- Interact and communicate with all levels of employees within the Company, as well as suppliers, customers and peers effectively.
- Comply with policies, procedures, standards and rules of the Company.
- Maintain work area in a clean, orderly and safe manner.
- Punctual, regular and consistent attendance.
- Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Experience and Education
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum one year of relevant work experience (Inside or technical sales preferred)
- Ability to read, write, and follow verbal instructions in Standard English is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with listening, consultative and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Office products, specifically Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint.
- Ability to handle complex projects and tasks independently within established standards.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities at a time and be self-motivated and proactive.
- Ability to function and thrive in a team environment with an appreciation of aggressive goals.
- Ability to type 50 WPM or faster.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree
- One year experience with QuickBooks Desktop or other CRM
- Dynamic Excel Skills using Pivot Tables, Conditional Formatting and Data Validation
Physical and Technical Environment
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend and stoop in a normal office and manufacturing environment.
- Ability to routinely travel throughout multi-floor office and shop area walking, climbing stairs, utilizing elevator.
- Exposure to varying environments, changing deadlines, strict time constraints.
- Minimal lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- This position may require occasional overtime depending on business needs. Candidates should be prepared to work additional hours when necessary.
- Based on satisfactory job performance and the completion of 6 months in person, the position is deemed eligible for remote work 2 days per week as assigned by management. Productivity and performance standards must be maintained when remote, and in person work will be required if the Accounts Payable Specialist is out with planned or un-planned time off.
