About the Center for Cognitive and Behavioral Health
The Center for Cognitive and Behavioral Health (www.cbt-health.com) is a growing practice dedicated to advancing the field of psychological care through compassionate, evidence-based practices. Our hybrid team is committed to providing comprehensive mental health services, including psychotherapy and psychological assessments, across Virginia and Massachusetts, both online and in person. We pride ourselves on a collaborative, supportive environment where professional growth and interests are supported and nurtured.
About the Position
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Postdoctoral Clinical Psychologist Fellow to join our team. This residency is designed for professionals who are on track to complete their doctoral training (PhD or PsyD) in 2025, and are seeking supervised clinical hours toward licensure in a private practice setting. The role offers a unique opportunity to refine clinical skills under expert supervision, with collaboration and support from like-minded professionals.
Clinicians can work from either of our office locations or fully virtually and can be based anywhere in the US. In addition to having the freedom to create your own schedule and set the number of clients you want to work with, you'll enjoy a client-by-service pay model, health insurance benefits, available 401K, and education stipends.
Training & Supervision
Postdoctoral residents will receive both individual and group supervision, with training tailored to each clinician’s interests and professional goals. Individual supervision supports the development of autonomy, clinical skills, and case conceptualization, while weekly group supervision offers a collaborative space for learning and peer connection. Our group supervision often includes guest experts who provide in-depth training on specialized topics, giving residents the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and broaden their clinical toolkit. Treatment modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and a variety of integrative approaches such as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), mindfulness and DBT-informed practices, Family Systems Therapy, and Trauma-Informed, Existential, and Humanistic therapies. Opportunities for training and experience in psychological and neuropsychological assessment are also available through our Virginia office; residents interested in this track must be able to travel to the office for in-person assessment services.
