Franklin College is seeking to fill a Counselor position. This full-time Counselor position reports to the Director of Counseling. Responsibilities include individual and group counseling to college students; drug and alcohol assessments and counseling; providing psycho-educational training and outreach programs in the evening and on weekends for college students, staff and organizations; and identifying and developing avenues to address student and community needs. Other duties assigned including but not limited to maintaining appropriate records.
Qualifications include a Master’s degree in mental health counseling, counseling psychology, counselor education, social work or related field. Experience with personal counseling required; previous work with college-aged clientele highly desirable. The successful candidate will have experience in women’s issues, diversity issues, alcohol and drug assessment and educational programs, and the ability to uphold the strictest standards of confidentiality. Position requires some evening and weekend hours as well as availability for campus emergencies.
