About this JobThe mission of Pinecrest Supports and Services Center is to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach treatment goals and to return to more integrated community living settings. Pinecrest Supports and Services Center specializes in the treatment of people with comorbid intellectual and developmental disabilities and complex medical, behavioral and psychiatric support needs.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychologist 2-3 to provide services in line with our mission in providing care and needs of the people that we support.Minimum QualificationsPossession of a current Louisiana license to practice psychology.Job SpecificationThe official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be foundJob Duties and Other InformationJob Duties:
As a Psychologist 2-3, yo will be responsible for improving the functioning of individuals supported, involving the application of psychological principles and techniques in direct services.
  • Provide clinical supervision of a group of Associate to a Psychologists (ATAP).
  • Provide and coordinate psychological services for treatment and rehabilitation in the individual's homes, day programs, work areas and recreational settings.
  • Design and implement programs involving the application of behavior treatment principles and techniques.
  • Monitor and oversee treatment plan developments and implementation.
  • Provide clinical supervision to ATAPs to build clinical capacities.
  • Provide direct assessment and treatment for more complex cases needing higher level interventions.
  • Conduct group, individual, family or other specialized psychotherapy with individuals as needed.
  • Coordinate and work with other disciplines to assure coordinated interdisciplinary treatment and care.
  • Administer or review results of the full range of diagnostic tests for psychological assessment, interpret results and prepare psychological evaluations.
  • Complete intake assessments on new admissions.
  • Complete intellectual assessments.
  • Perform psychological diagnoses and treatment and participate as a member of an individual's treatment staff discussions of diagnosis, treatment, progress and treatment planning.
Position-Specific Details:Appointment Type: This position will be filled by Detail to Special Duty, Probational, Promotional, or Job AppointmentJob Location: Pinecrest LDH Psychology DepartmentShift: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday; Pass Days: Sat & SunCareer Progression: This position may be filled as a Psychologist 2 or 3 depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant.Compensation: This position offers the below Special Entrance Rates (SER) and also receives Longevity Pay and Premium Pay.Psychologist 2 $39.12hr. (SER) - $56.86hr.Psychologist 3 $44.79hr.
