A full-time or part-time school psychologist opportunity is available for the 2025-26 school year, based in Rock Hall, MD, with assignments at multiple schools including three elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. This contract position offers a distinctive East Coast beach setting, close to major cities, creating a desirable travel opportunity for professionals interested in working in diverse K-12 environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a variety of assessments including cognitive, social/emotional/behavioral, adaptive evaluations, as well as Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) as needed.
- Attend Individualized Education Program (IEP) and Student Support Team (SST) meetings to support student needs.
- Provide support for counseling services when necessary, although no current counseling caseload is identified.
- Manage an approximate caseload of students spanning pre-kindergarten through 21 years of age.
- Collaborate with educational staff to develop and implement strategies to support student success.
Qualifications:
- Valid Maryland school psychologist license is required.
- Prior experience as a school psychologist is preferred.
- Ability and willingness to provide services in-person; virtual or hybrid arrangements are not available.
- Strong skills in assessment, counseling, and behavior support within a K-12 setting.
Work Schedule and Location:
- Monday through Friday schedule with flexible start times (either 7:20 AM to 2:40 PM or 8:30 AM to 3:50 PM).
- Assignments will rotate among multiple school sites in the Rock Hall area and surrounding locations.
- Includes access to a school-provided laptop and resources.
