SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Loan Servicing Supervisor, this position performs a variety of duties within established department policies, guidelines, and procedures. The Loan Servicing Counselor works with
members to help them with their financial difficulties and analyze each individual member’s collection
situation to ensure benefit to both the member and the credit union.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direction of the Loan Servicing Supervisor, this position performs a variety of duties within established department policies, guidelines, and procedures. The Loan Servicing Counselor works with
members to help them with their financial difficulties and analyze each individual member’s collection
situation to ensure benefit to both the member and the credit union.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Makes collection phone calls and sends letters to delinquent accounts and/or negative share, both daily.
- Reviews collection queue daily, while effectively completing the queue in a timely and efficient manner.
- Determines RFD and counsels’ members to help them work with the best approach to managing their delinquent accounts.
- Performs other essential functions of the job which may be assigned by your supervisor.

- High school diploma or its equivalent is required.
- Prior collection experience is helpful.
- Knowledge of the FDCPA is helpful.
