Alfred State College is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Temporary Admissions Counselor to join our dynamic admissions team for the fall travel cycle. This role is instrumental in guiding prospective students through the college application process, fostering relationships with students, families, and school counselors, and supporting the institution's enrollment goals, with a prospective end date of January 2026.
The Temporary Admissions Counselor is a key member of the admissions team who will help achieve the enrollment goals for Alfred State. They will be responsible for conducting outreach efforts, particularly in Pennsylvania travel territory, as well as provide support for Admissions events. Represent Alfred State at college fairs, high school visits, and recruitment events. This position requires a passion for student success, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to represent the university's values and programs to a diverse range of applicants.

Minimum Qualifications:
The salary for this position is $45,372 and is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with students, families, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and work both independently and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel for recruitment events and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Knowledge of SUNY and Alfred State College.
- Experience in college admissions, higher education, or a related field.
