Job Summary:

Responsible for delivering age and specialty appropriate medical care through assessment, evaluation, diagnosis, recognition and prevention of adverse events, treatment, and follow-up. Performs responsibilities in four areas: clinician, teacher, leader, and professional development. Collaborates with colleagues and other disciplines to ensure safe, effective, efficient, and patient-centered care, aiming for positive patient outcomes. Monitors quality care through customer service and performance improvement. Provides leadership within the LPG practice location and Lee Health. Maintains excellent communication with patients, families, caregivers, multidisciplinary team members, medical staff, and employees. Focuses on quality and safety in patient care and participates in the integrated continuum of care within LH/LPG.

Educational Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited Medical School and Residency; BC/BE


Experience:

  • Required: Experience providing healthcare in international/resource-poor settings; demonstrated teaching and leadership experience with strong leadership potential.


State of Florida Licensure:

  • Medical Doctor


Additional Licensure Requirements:

  • Currently licensed or eligible in Florida as a Physician


Certifications:

  • BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (American Heart Association / Advanced Cardiac Life Support)


Preferred Certifications:

  • None
