We are looking to hire a counselor for academic guidance, supervision, and discipline at Don Soffer Aventura High School. The fact that our governing board funds the highest starting counselor salary (between 80,000 and 93,000) of any public school is demonstrative of our wonderfully supportive community.

Job Description:

Guidance certification is not essential, though it will expedite the hiring process.
Devotion to student excellence, model work ethic, and high energy are essential.
In addition to spending up to four hours a day interacting with students during arrival, class changes, lunch, and dismissal, this counselor is expected to function as a parent on campus, serving in whatever capacity will be most beneficial to students and their teachers.
