Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with individuals with disabilities, particularly children with autism, to implement behavior intervention plans and support their development. Your primary focus will be on providing high-quality patient care through applied behavior analysis techniques, ensuring that each individual receives the personalized attention they need to thrive.
Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Provide direct support to clients in various settings, including home and community environments.
- Monitor and document client progress, ensuring accurate medical documentation and record-keeping.
- Conduct patient assessments to identify specific needs and tailor interventions accordingly.
- Collaborate with families and other professionals to promote effective communication and support strategies.
- Assist in the development of diagnostic evaluations to better understand client behaviors and needs.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients, promoting their dignity and independence.
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, particularly children with autism.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
- Strong skills in patient care, including empathy, patience, and effective communication.
- Ability to conduct thorough patient assessments and maintain accurate medical records.
- Familiarity with behavioral therapy practices is preferred but not required.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in medical documentation.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of behavioral health.
