Exact Staff is hiring a Service Coordinator on behalf of our client in Bakersfield, CA. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in social services or public administration who is passionate about helping low-income individuals and families access supportive resources and achieve self-sufficiency.
Temp-to-Hire | $21.67/hour | Mon–Fri, 8AM–5PM (OT as needed)
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct intakes, create service plans, and provide case management for residents.

Connect families, elderly, youth, and disabled individuals to supportive and community services.

Advocate for clients and assist with job placement, educational access, and essential services.

Coordinate training sessions, events, and meetings to promote community engagement.

Support Family Self-Sufficiency and Home Ownership Programs, ensuring clients meet goals and eligibility requirements.

Educate residents on available services, rights, lease obligations, and housing policies.

Maintain accurate records, program materials, and reports.

Collaborate with internal teams and outside agencies to meet client needs.
Requirements:

Degree in Public Administration, Social Services, or related field preferred (equivalent experience accepted).

Experience working with low-income families, seniors, disabled individuals, and youth.

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.

Flexible schedule; occasional evenings/weekends required.

Ability to travel locally between housing units and sites (must have reliable transportation).

Comfortable using computers and lifting up to 35 lbs when needed.
