Job Summary:
As a Leisure Program Counselor, you will be responsible for overseeing and caring for a group of participants, ensuring their general welfare, leading them in activities, and actively participating in program activities. This role requires working with children, demonstrating good character, adaptability, and maintaining a positive attitude throughout the day.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Desire and ability to work with children.
- Ability to relate to peers.
- Ability to accept supervision and guidance.
- Ability to teach program activities.
- Good character, integrity, and adaptability.
- Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, and self-control.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Positive attitude.
Additional Qualifications:
- Knowledge of summer program planning.
- Familiarity with department policy and procedures.
- Strong communication skills.
- Professional enforcement of rules.
- Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism.
Note: The position starts on June 24th and ends on August 15th, 2025, with work hours from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:45 PM.
