Job Summary:

As a Leisure Program Counselor, you will be responsible for overseeing and caring for a group of participants, ensuring their general welfare, leading them in activities, and actively participating in program activities. This role requires working with children, demonstrating good character, adaptability, and maintaining a positive attitude throughout the day.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Must be 16 years of age or older.
  2. Desire and ability to work with children.
  3. Ability to relate to peers.
  4. Ability to accept supervision and guidance.
  5. Ability to teach program activities.
  6. Good character, integrity, and adaptability.
  7. Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, and self-control.
  8. CPR and First Aid certification.
  9. Positive attitude.

Additional Qualifications:

  1. Knowledge of summer program planning.
  2. Familiarity with department policy and procedures.
  3. Strong communication skills.
  4. Professional enforcement of rules.
  5. Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism.

Note: The position starts on June 24th and ends on August 15th, 2025, with work hours from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:45 PM.
