Reproductive Fertility Center is committed to providing our patients with quality care and is looking for exceptional candidates to join our team. We are looking to hire a Full-Time Patient Intake Coordinator
The Patient Intake Coordinator communicates directly with prospective new patients inquiring information about fertility treatments and services our center provides. Responsibilities include receiving phone and web inquiries from prospective new patients, providing prospective new patients information about RFC's fertility treatment services, collecting patient medical records, and coordinating new patient consultation appointments.
The role requires excellent telephone and customer service skills, empathy, professionalism, computer skills, and a willingness to learn more about fertility care and the state-of-the-art treatment options that are available to individuals and couples looking to start a family. This candidate must be compassionate, energetic, detail – oriented, and contributes to a positive work environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Fielding phone & web inquiries from prospective new patients
- Obtaining patient demographics and insurance information for benefit verification
- Answering inquiries about the practice, treatments options, and pertinent pre-treatment tests and services
- Scheduling initial consultation appointments and accurately entering patient demographics in scheduling system
- Obtaining medical records
- Confirming new patient consultation appointments
- Following up on cancellations/no shows
- Reporting & tracking of all patient referral sources & interactions
- Reconcile patient accounts
- Provide patient insurance benefits and maintain knowledge of up to date insurance carriers and policies
Qualifications and Skills:
- OB/GYN and/or infertility practice background preferred
- Medical office/customer service experience a plus
- Call center experience working directly with patients
- Competent typing skills and ability to multi-task between typing and phone
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Strong interpersonal and telephone skills
- Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and attention to details
- Excellent organizational abilities and strong time management
- Ability to work independently yet be an integral part of an overall team environment
- Flexible work schedule
- Bi-lingual skills a plus
Experience:
- Customer service: 1+ year (Preferred)
- Healthcare experience: 1+ year (Preferred)
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
