JOB DESCRIPTION

Title: Bilingual Clinical Therapist (Spanish)

Division: Riverside Counseling Center

FLSA: Non- Exempt

Supervisor: Program Manager

Pay Range: $33.00 -$43.26/hour - starting rate is $33/hour- increased per years of relevant clinical experience

Summary

Under the direction of Program Manager, the Bilingual Clinical Therapist will implement clinical services for “high-risk” youth and families under the SOC RUHS-BH contract, through referrals from school sites, RUHS-BH, DPSS, and outside resources. Bilingual Clinical Therapist will complete CBITS training and co-facilitate groups at assigned MVUSD schools through PEI contract. Bilingual Clinical Therapist will conduct clinical assessments, complete treatment planning, and implement clinically appropriate interventions to assigned caseload. Bilingual Clinical Therapist will provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy. Will complete collateral contacts with guardians, school staff, CPS CSW’s, necessary personnel, and treatment team members as applicable and necessary. Bilingual Clinical Therapist will be under clinical supervision of program manager, and maintain BBS registration requirements. Will have consistent communication with program manager and abide by program and agency policies. Will provide services either in person (in office, traveling to home and/or schools), as well as utilize telehealth with clients and families, depending on client need and preference. Clients may be seen within the Moreno Valley/neighboring communities, as well Western Region communities and Perris. Will follow SSG COVID-19 safety protocols and personal responsibility procedures. Bilingual in Spanish required.

Essential Functions

· Provide clinical assessments to at-risk youth at school sites, in office, and within homes.

· Provide individual, group therapy, family therapy, and case management services to at-risk youth at school sites, within homes, and within community settings.

· Complete CBITS certification training and co-facilitate groups at assigned MVUSD schools and attend mandatory PEI trainings and meetings as part of the PEI CBITS contract.

· Participate in the inter-disciplinary clinical team with therapists, Parent Partners, Peer Support Specialists, and psychiatrists in the development of individual treatment plans, problem list items, and discharge plans for the clients.

· Collaborate with family, teachers, social workers, probation officers, and care givers in the community as part of the treatment team

· Adhere to CA mandating reporting laws for suspected/alleged abuse and consult with immediate supervisor for mandated reporting and crisis management

· Complete all documentation within the standards of the RUHS-Behavioral Health in a timely manner.

· Maintain and uphold Agency mission statement, values, policies, procedures and principles

· Maintain Regular attendance (required)

· Attend all staff meetings, assigned supervisions, and other meetings as mandated

· Work on other appropriate tasks and complete other duties as needed, as assigned by the supervisor/manager.

· Driving is a required aspect of the job (for example: must drive to multiple field sites).

Secondary Functions

· Participate in wellness and resource fairs representing agency to provide community outreach, as requested

Minimum Qualifications – Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

· Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (AMFT) / Masters Degree in Psychology (APCC)/Masters Degree in Social Work (ASW)

· Currently registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences

· Demonstrate ability to work with at-risk adolescent population and minority populations

· Excellent communication skills

· Excellent documentation skills

· Knowledge of RUSH-BH paperwork and Cal-Aim documentation is highly desired

· Ability to function as a member of an interdisciplinary team

· Valid California driver’s license, DMV check, reliable vehicle and proof of current automobile insurance required.

· Background check

· Verification of employment eligibility

· Ability to perform duties on some weekday evenings and weekend days when required

· Regular attendance required

· Other duties, as needed and/or as assigned by supervisor

· Bilingual Spanish- Fluent in Speaking and writing to complete assessments, session, and documentation

· Completion of TB test every 4 years.

Environmental Conditions (Working Conditions)

The environment for this position is an office environment as well as working within at-risk areas including home and school based services. Driving is required when in the field, own transportation is required.

Physical Requirements

In the course of performing this job, there will be driving, walking and sitting required.

Mental Requirements

The incumbent in this position must be able to accommodate to all of the following: constant distractions, interruptions; uncontrollable changes in priorities/work schedules; availability for on-call duty after regular working hours and be able to process information, think, conceptualize, and handle stress.
