Position Summary

Enfield Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and student-focused School Counselor to support the academic, social-emotional, and career development of all students. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with staff, families, and community partners to ensure student success, while managing a balanced caseload and fulfilling responsibilities related to Section 504 Plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group counseling to address academic, emotional, and social needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student achievement and well-being.
  • Serve as the case manager for students with Section 504 Plans:
    • Coordinate and facilitate 504 eligibility and review meetings.
    • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
    • Monitor implementation of accommodations and student progress.
  • Participate in school-based teams and contribute to data-driven decision-making.
  • Support crisis intervention and connect students and families with community resources.
  • Promote a positive school climate and inclusive practices.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in School Counseling or related field.
  • Valid Connecticut School Counselor Certification (Endorsement 068).
  • Knowledge of Section 504 regulations and experience managing 504 Plans.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in diverse educational settings preferred.
