Function:
The Behavior Analyst is responsible for the overall development and implementation of behavior support programs. This person is responsible for conducting behavioral observations, functional assessments, behavior support plans, staff training in regards to plan implementation, and monitoring of effectiveness of behavior interventions.
Know How:
The position requires a Master’s Degree in the area of Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field and be certified as a Behavior Analyst by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board (Individuals may be hired conditionally, up to 6 months, pending taking certification board exam). A valid Alabama driver’s license is also required.
Staff development skills, demonstrated leadership abilities, and good verbal and written communication skills are also required. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel is preferred.
