Shift: Day Shift | 5x7.5-Hour Days | 7:00 AM – 2:30 PMPosition Summary:A public school district in Laurens, South Carolina is seeking a dedicated Level 2 School Psychologist for the upcoming academic year. The psychologist will provide in-person support to students, educators, and families through psychoeducational assessments, consultations, and interventions that support students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional success.Key Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and write detailed evaluation reportsParticipate in IEP meetings, eligibility determinations, and student re-evaluationsCollaborate with general and special education teachers to develop behavioral and academic interventionsProvide crisis response and support for students as neededConsult with families, administrators, and outside agencies regarding student supportDeliver direct and indirect counseling services, when applicableMaintain compliance with state and federal regulations (IDEA, Section 504)Uphold confidentiality and adhere to school and district policiesMaintain documentation and case files in a timely and accurate mannerRequired Qualifications:Master's or Specialist degree in School PsychologyValid South Carolina School Psychologist certification or eligibilityPrevious experience in school-based settings preferredKnowledge of special education laws, assessments, and multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS/RTI)Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skillsAdditional Details:Setting: In-person school-based servicesStudent Population: Varies by assigned school(s) within the districtCaseload: Assigned at the beginning of the school yearSupport: Collaboration with other school psychologists, counselors, and administrative staff
