SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST
Date Available: This position is available commencing with the 2025-2026 school year.
Salary & Benefits: In accordance with the Redding Education Association’s collective bargaining agreement. Competitive benefits.
Qualifications:
Uses a variety of culturally sensitive techniques and assessments to evaluate student academic skills, cognitive skills, social and emotional development, and behavioral adjustment
Facilitates the evaluation/re-evaluation process for special education eligibility
Participates in student assistance teams and IEP team meetings by sharing expertise in assessment, social-emotional development, behavioral management, and instructional programming
Collaborates with staff in order to develop appropriate strategies to facilitate appropriate behaviors for classroom and school adjustment for individual students
Collaborates with staff in order to develop appropriate learning strategies for individual students in order to improve academic functioning
Works directly with students in individual and group settings
Meets appropriate deadline(s) related to responsibilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to maintain effective relationships with students, parents, and teaching colleagues
Must be flexible, creative, demonstrate strong organizational skills
Must be highly motivated and self-directed
