Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality counseling services to individuals and groups, focusing on mental health support and personal development. This role involves working closely with clients to assess their needs, develop treatment plans, and facilitate therapeutic sessions in an outpatient clinic setting.

Duties

  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address various mental health issues.
  • Utilize Applied Behavior Analysis techniques to support clients in achieving their therapeutic goals.
  • Provide direct support to clients, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for personal growth.
  • Document medical records accurately, adhering to ICD-9 standards for diagnosis and treatment.
  • Engage in grief counseling for clients dealing with loss or significant life changes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care effectively.
  • Participate in ongoing research initiatives to enhance the quality of counseling services provided.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all client interactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and create individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide individual, family, couples, and group therapy using evidence-based methods.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and progress tracking.
  • Coordinate care with internal teams and external agencies.
  • Attend regular supervision and participate in professional development.
  • Ensure adherence to ethics, confidentiality, and Nevada licensing regulations.

Skills

  • Proficient in individual and group counseling techniques, with a strong understanding of outpatient care practices.
  • Knowledgeable in medical documentation processes and ICD-9 coding for accurate record-keeping.
  • Strong ability to conduct assessments and develop tailored treatment plans based on client needs.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
  • Empathetic approach with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in counseling (CACREP-accredited preferred).
  • Active or eligible NV LPC license.
  • Completed ≥ 3,000 supervised hours (≥ 1,500 client contact, 300 supervision).
  • Passed NCMHCE and Nevada jurisprudence exam.
  • Strong rapport-building and counseling skills across diverse populations.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $73,000–$147,000/year (approximately $100k median).
  • $40–$131+/hour for telehealth or specialized positions.
