Education and Experience:

  • Must have bachelor's degree in social, behavior or human services field from an accredited university
  • Must be able to qualify as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP)
  • 1 year of experience in dealing with Children/Families having behavioral and/or emotional problems is preferred
  • Must have valid TX driver's license and be insurable

Job Purpose:

  • Help patients learn coping skills and create stability in their lives
  • Will utilize a trauma focused approach when dealing with clients and families
  • Work as part of a collaborative treatment team and serve as a liaison between patients and medical staff
  • Will provide advocacy, support, and coordinate clients in need of Center or community services

Job Function:

  • Will perform client assessments to evaluate their state of mental health and ability in a real-world environment
  • Will add notes to client records based on assessments and evaluations
  • Will create individualized client plans designed to help clients meet specific desired life goals
  • Will make client home visits to check on their ongoing mental health and evaluate their progress
